In commemoration with its 2nd Foundation Day, the RC – Al Khwarizmi International College held its 2nd Intramurals last December 17-22, 2009. This unforgettable event lasted for about siz days. It was participated by the AKIC College Students, AKIC-SLS Students, the Ranao Council Student Assembly (RCSA), and all the faculty and staff of the school. The AKIC college students were classified into four teams:, the Al-Khayyam, the Al-Haytham, the Al-Razi, and the Al-Buezjani while the RCSA, SLS, and the AKIC Faculty and Staff carried their respective names for their teams. Sport games such as basketball, volleyball, badminton and table tennis were played, as well as games for the minds such as scrabble and chess. The said event was held at three different places – the Capitol Gymnasium, Achiever’s Gym and also at RC-SLS Campus. The event started with a parade heading to the Capitol Gymnasium on December 17, 2009. Following the parade was the formal opening program with Professor Punduma Sani as the Guest Speaker.

The event was highlighted by the torch lighting performed by Sir Hanifi Sani and Usman Disomimba from the BS Diplomacy & International Relations. It was then preceded by the first game for the basketball. The 2nd and 3rd games were continued in the afternoon. The volleyball games, scrabble and chess were held at the SLS field on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th days of the Intramurals. On the 5th day, Championships for the basketball and table tennis were played. Finally, on the last day of the event, the games for badminton were held at the Adhiecer’s Gym.
