The Ranao Council-Al Khwarizmi International College Foundation, Incorporated sponsored its first seminar-workshop on Noveber 6 – 7, 2008 at the Seminar Hall of the AKIC Building, National Highway, Basak Malutlut, Marawi City. The theme was Textbook Writing for the HEIs in the ARMM and this was in coordination with CHED-ARMM through the generosity of Prince Al Walid Ibn Talal Ibn Al Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The RC-Al Khwarizmi International College, Foundation Incorporated (RC-AKICFI) in its efforts at not only giving quality education but also helping promising students obtain scholarships, awarded three scholarships. The screening and selection of prospective scholars is based, among other things, on the following criteria designed by the AKIC Academic Planning Committee:(a)Program of study the student is pursuing, (b)academic standing (c)economic status and (d) good moral character.

The Ranao Council College Entrance and Scholarship Examination Review Program (RC CESERP) started its classes last June 21, 2008 at the RC Al Khwarizmi International College. The management team under the chairmanship of Eng'r. Sihawi Khalid was happily surprised to see the students even under the heavy rain and storm. It only showed that the students from the different schools in Marawi. Lanao and even Iligan City were indeed looking forward to this review.
